Friendship: Week 4, Wednesday Red Flags

Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, 25 or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. – Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but jealousy is even more dangerous. Proverbs 22:24-25 and 27:4

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Cor. 15:33

You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him. And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:4-6

Friendship with the world means that we have become too comfortable with the fallen order of things …
